LFCC and dv8fest

There is an empire of stuff i need to tell you guys about, and posts will be forthcoming i assure you, but first things first:

this weekend the doctorgeof/fetishman stall will be running at 2 events. Yep, i've finally cloned myself.

16th – 18th July 2010 – dv8fest, Park Inn, York, UK
17th-18th July 2010 – London film and comic con, Earls Court, London, UK

Okay that's a bit of a lie, I'm running the stall at dv8fest for just the friday 16th and saturday 17th (which if you aren't aware of is a new goth festival! which i drew some goths for! should be a hoot, line up is jam packed with bands I'd be tempted to see. that said I've twisted me ankle so i may sleep through a big chunk of the evening's activities)

Mavis, dear blessed Mavis, will be running a lean stall on saturday 17th at LFCC, but after a short train journey from york to london i'll be joining him with the rest of the charabang for sunday 18th. It seems a bit mad but then hey both looked like good events. Hell, LFCC even has the Shatner.

And if we're really lucky there may be more than 2 pop-up cards made by this point.

Fetishman be in Forum! Weehee!

A weekend in Brighton don’t ya know!

Sitting at Victoria station (with a tea and a bun, but then that's pretty much a given) I'm starting to unwind a little. As much as I love travelling by train but the worry of missing connections and not remembering stuff only really wears off when London transport's involvement is at an end.

This weekend the Doctor Geof stall is manifesting at the Brighton steampunk weekend. Organised by Allegra and the steampunk magazine it seems to be in a wee theatre behind a pub and should be a hoot: a couple of days talking rubbish with old friends and new friends and plotting evil in suitable surroundings can't be a bad thing.

On the real science front, just in case you fancied a little bit, we're wrapping up the glasses science experiment this weekend (data is great but analysis is also handy) so if you fancy a bit of last minute recommendation you have until midnight this Sunday.

mcm’ed

Ah, a week later and I'm almost on top of my work again. All I can really say is MCM Expo was a damned (hehehe, still training this phone to my vocabulary, rather endearingly it just replaced damned with darned) good laugh.

"Why" say you? Well asked there! Well apart from:

– being wedged between Rich Johnston on my left and to my right Tony Lee and his art monkey Dan (not in a sexy way if I recall correctly) and within hollering distance of Chamonkee and Naniiebim;
– the lovely friendly crowd who often shared my liking for tea and smuttery;
– the charming comics creators who also shared my liking of tea and smuttery;
– mojitos;
– Alex;
– Templesmith's squid-girls;
– Letraset;
– blah.

Anyhoo, yes, apart from that I'd say I have no idea. Was probably the weather or something.

Laters,

gf
